West Seattle resident Nancy McManus won two tickets to cheer on the Seattle Seahawks when they played the Chicago Bears at Chicago’s Soldier Field on January 16, 2011. She and her 12-year old daughter Delaney had a great time, even though the Hawks lost.
"There was a Facebook contest where the Space Needle and the John Hancock Observatory invited people to write why you should go," said McManus. "I won two tickets to the game, a night stay at the Essex Hotel, and dinner for four at SkyCity when I return."
According to the West Seattle Herald, McManus emphasized that the fans were gracious toward her, even while wearing her Seahawks hat. "They teased us and gave us a hard time, but it was all good-natured fun."
